Newark Liberty International Airport


Newark Liberty International Airport has had two name changes. It was first named as Newark Airport then changed to Newark International Airport before its current name. It is located around 15 miles southwest of Midtown Manhattan in NYC. Among its many airlines some of the notable ones include Continental Airlines, British Airways, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Swiss International Air.

Parking accommodations include a convenient valet service for a small fee. Daily car parking is also available close to the terminal building as well as short term and disabled parking. The airport’s AirTrain shuttle bus system connects all parking areas to the main terminal. Transportation includes taxi, limousine and rapid transit trains which operate 24h/day. The transit train serves downtown Manhattan as well as other stops on the way to and from the airport.

The airport information desk provides a variety of services including multilingual staff that wears bright red jackets for easy identification. Other airport facilities include financial services such as currency exchange and ATM machines, conference rooms and other business services. The airport offers a variety of eateries, drinking establishments and disabled services.
