Port of Acapulco shore excursions

Port of Acapulco

Acapulco Cruise Terminal is located close to Acapulco centre, with the Zocala, or Main Square just a five minute walk from the cruise port.

Passengers can easily access the Fort of San Diego on foot – formerly one of the most important fortresses on the Pacific coast, which is directly opposite the port.

Visitors will find restaurants and cafes in the Zona Dorada area of the city, as well as many internet cafes. Close to the port passengers have many attractive beaches at their disposal including Su Casa which overlooks Acapulco Bay.

Popular day trips from the port of Acapulco include parasailing, a ride on a glass bottomed boat, or a day golfing at one of the many championship golf courses in the area. A longer half day trip is rafting on the Papagayo River with narrow canyons and Class 2 rapids.

Passengers can also visit Pie de la Cuesta beach, one of the finest in the area and just eight miles north west of Acapulco.

Taxis are cheap and available and if you are a bit braver the city buses are great value with well marked covered bus stops with maps of which buses go to the main Acapulco attractions.
