Wheel of Brisbane

Wheel of Brisbane

Located at the entrance of South Bank Parklands along the northern side is the Wheel of Brisbane. Sitting among the south bank of the Brisbane River, the Wheel of Brisbane is a 12-minute ride that allows visitors to see views of the city and region from a bird’s eye view.

There are 42 capsules to ride in and each is air conditioned to provide relief from the hot Australian sun. Each capsule seats up to six adults and two children. A total seating capacity for the Wheel is 336 people. The roof of the Wheel of Brisbane reaches 60 metres and offers panoramic views of the entire city of Brisbane.

The Wheel of Brisbane

The Wheel is open and in operation seven days a week. The ride may be privately booked for exclusive rides. Oftentimes wedding proposals are made at the top of the Wheel. Private bookings should be scheduled in advance.

At night the Wheel is lit up with illuminating lights that can be seen throughout the river and skyline. The LED lights of the wheel can be seen throughout the city and helps people to recognize the landmark.
