Kinshasa

Kinshasa is the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The A.A.C. Bonobo sanctuary is a place where these small chimpanzees are housed and it is open to visitors. More bonobos can be seen at Chutes de Lukia which also has a restaurant and lakes. The Congo River is of vital importance to Kinshasa and tourists will want to see the famous river. Kisantu Botanical Gardens is a place to see many different types of African trees and other plants. There are many items to be purchased at The Grand Marché, which means the big marketplace, as well as Kinkole Fish Market.
