Luxor

Located on the Nile River, Luxor is famous for the many structures that were built in ancient times. These famous tourist attractions include the Luxor Temple and the many tombs and other places in the Valley of the Kings. The Luxor Temple is famous for its large pillars, obelisk and giant statues. Many tourists head to the Valley of the Kings, and the Valley of the Queens as well, and tours take visitors into some of the tombs. It was in this area of Egypt that the tomb of Tutankhamun was found. Located in Luxor is an attraction that few other places have, a Mummification Museum.
