About halfway between Madagascar and Mozambique, Europa Island is a flat, tropical island that has nothing to do with Europe other than it belongs to France but is administered from Reunion. Europa Island may have a bit of an identity confusion but it is very definitely very gorgeous. The only inhabitants are the few military and meteorological personnel stationed here and most of the island is a wildlife sanctuary. This means that if you are lucky enough to get here, probably by chartering your own yacht or boat, you will find a completely pristine environment from which you can explore either the heavily wooded land or the pristine reefs all around.
