Mauritania

Mauritania is a country in the North West part of Africa, home to desert area and Atlantic coastline. The weather in this country can reach both extremes. The Adrar and Tagant areas are popular among tourists due to the beauty of the desert, while the coast in Banc d’Arguin is also visited frequently as it is a UNESCO protected natural reserve with birdlife enjoying the coast and the stunning desert dunes. One of the highlights of a trip to Mauritania is bargaining with the fishermen who have just brought in fantastic fresh fish, and grilling it for lunch or dinner.
