Fregate Island

The most glorious private island in the whole of the African continent, Fregate Island is home to a mere 16 villas and visitors to the island get to share seven islands between them, that’s just over two tourists per beach- not bad.

The beach named Anse Victorin was recently voted the best beach in the world so the exorbitant price tag is justified, and the quality is rich. Water-based sports of all kinds can be arranged through the resort but one of the main attractions is the wonderful sailing that takes place around the stunning local waters. The island has a fleet of private boats that can be borrowed or hired for a tour or for a fishing trip where you can catch tuna, sailfish or even marlin and then have it expertly cooked for you in the island restaurant that night.

If your idea of relaxing on a dream island involves effort, then you can have fun in the tennis courts or mountain biking tracks that dot the island.
