Pretoria

Pretoria is known for its plants and many tourist attractions. A visit to the Pretoria Botanical Garden will show not only many varieties of plants but also birds and other animals native to the area. The city has many jacaranda trees, lining its streets and located in its parks. Tourists will want to spend time at the Transvaal Museum of Natural History in Pretoria. Some of its exhibits include fossils of dinosaurs as well as other displays on animals that once roamed around this part of South Africa. Kruger House, the Mapungubwe Museum and the giant Voortrekker Monument are other places in Pretoria to visit.
