Tunis

Tunis has seen a lot of history and is also the capital city of Tunisia. The ancient city of Carthage was located there, and the remaining structures are a World Heritage Site and a popular area for tourists to visit. At the Bardo National Museum in Tunis there are many Roman artefacts. Visitors will look for local products to purchase at the markets in the medina area. Sports and major events are held at the Stade El Menzah just outside of Tunis as well as Stade Chedli Zouiten. Musical performances and other displays are held at the Tunis Municipal Theatre.
