Kabul

Kabul has many historical areas to view, and interesting street stalls and markets to visit.  The National Museum of Afghanistan is a historic building, and inside are many exhibits about Afghanistan.  Unique items of gold, turquoise and ivory are on display.  Also, the museum is known for having sent some of its great items around the world as part of the “Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures From the National Museum, Kabul” tour.  A large building just outside of Kabul is Tajbeg Palace, a mansion around one hundred years old.  Some of the parks in the area are Shar-e Naw Park, Lake Qargha and Bagh-e Babur with its gardens and paths.
