Brunei

Brunei may be small but thanks to oil resources, it is wonderfully wealthy. But the greatest riches of this tiny Sultanate are by far its natural treasures such as the large areas of rainforest, best experienced in the Ulu Temburong National Park. Take a boat down the river to the Belalong National Park where you can do the wonderful canopy walk. The capital of Bandar Seri Begawan itself is a picturesque blend of mosque- filled skyline, intriguing water villages and the awesome Royal Regalia Museum. The boat ride from here to the small riverside town of Bangar is an experience all of its own.

This is a fabulous, relatively uncommercialised place to visit! I'm looking forward to visiting again one day.
