If a trip to India has the Taj Mahal on the itinerary then a stop in the city of Agra is a must. Completed in 1653, the Taj Mahal draws millions of tourists every year. A famous World Heritage Site, visitors to the Taj Mahal can spend a day looking through the main building and the other ornate structures around the complex, as well as exploring the large garden areas with its water features. Visitors can fly to Agra or catch a train from Delhi, Bhopal or other major cities, then join a tour group to go to the Taj Mahal. Another historic site in Agra is Agra Fort.
