Bhopal

Bhopal is a city of historical sites with ancient buildings as well as being located in an area of lakes and scenic views. Called “The City of Lakes”, one of Bhopal’s main tourists destinations is the Upper Lake and Lower Lake area. Travelling around the water on a small yacht or rowboat is a popular activity. Near the Lower Lake is an aquarium housed in a building that is shaped like a fish. Van Vihar National Park is next to Upper Lake. The Van Vihar National Park is a place for tourists to view lions, tigers and crocodiles in their natural setting. The Bhojeshwar Temple historic site is not far from Bhopal.
