Chiba City

Chiba City blends the modern and futuristic with the tradition of Japan. The capital of Chiba Prefecture, Chiba City is known for its innovative Chiba Urban Monorail. It ranks at number one among the longest suspended monorail track systems in the world. Chiba Port Tower provides the opportunity for tourists to view the area from above, the tower is 125 metres high and with an observation deck at 113 metres visitors can look across Tokyo Bay and also see Mount Fuji. Kasamori Kannon Temple is an example of the history of Japan, and is surrounded by trees and, in spring, cherry blossoms.
