The Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan has been unstable in the recent past, but despite the political and ethnic issues, the government is considered among the more progressive in terms of post-soviet countries and tourists are very welcome, with few visa problems to deal with. The country is dominated by mountainous terrain and is therefore blessed with beautiful scenery. Visitors will enjoy frequenting local markets where all sorts of items are available, or one can swim or sail in Issyk Kul, which is renowned as the world’s second biggest high altitude mountain lake. Photographs in this area will become great memories.
