George Town

George Town is located in the western part of Malaysia, on the coast of the Strait of Malacca near the Andaman Sea. There are numerous tourist attractions around George Town. The city, that was named after King George III, has the Queen Victoria Clock Tower as well Fort Cornwallis. Among the many religious sites to visit is the Kek Lok Si Temple. Visitors can go shopping at the Batu Ferringhi Night Market and the Little Penang Street Market or look for bargains in a modern shopping mall like Queensbay Mall, Bukit Jambul Complex and Prangin Mall.
