Karachi’s attractions are centred on its history as well as the port area. Frere Hall is a large and highly-detailed building that was constructed in the nineteenth century. The National Museum of Pakistan is located in Karachi. The museum has a large number of displays including exhibits on Hindu sculptural art, calligraphy, terracotta, coins and paintings. The Karachi Port Trust Fountain is a modern tourist attraction, it is in the harbour area and close to the Oyster Rocks. Water is sent nearly two hundred metres into the air by the fountain. Visitors can watch the fountain in action from a boat and it can be seen from many vantage points around Karachi.
