Daegu

Also called Taegu, Daegu is one of South Korea’s most important cities and unlike many others it is located inland. There are many areas to visit around Daegu that showcase the mountains and forests, like Mount Palgongsan, Yongam Hot Spring and the Valley of Yeomburam Hermitage. Daegu also has historic sites like Wontongjeon Hall in Pagyesa Temple, Gatbawi Rock, the Statue of General Gwak Jae-u and Nokdongseowon Confucian Academy. A place to visit in downtown Daegu is Gyesan Cathedral, and the area also has many modern shops and restaurants, that have Jjimgalbi and Hot Tteokbokki on the menu. Children will have fun at Suseong Land and Woobang Tower Land.
