Laucala Island

Located in the South Pacific waters not far from Taveuni, the third largest island in Fiji, this island is a resort paradise with a difference. Although the furnishings may be extravagant, the interior and exterior of the buildings are essentially traditional ‘Bures’, as the philosophy of the resort is to provide the highest possible quality of service whilst making you feel as though on an untouched island.

There are two methods of travel to the island; you can either arrive via private jet as arranged by the island or it is possible and arguably more romantic, to arrive via private yacht whilst navigating through the 18-mile coral reef that surrounds the paradise island. The ‘Bures’ themselves are all uniquely decorated with interiors designed with local craftsmanship at the centre and each has their own private pool, indoor/outdoor shower and wooden or stone bath. The shared amenities are of the highest order as well with a golf course, an equestrian centre and a hilltop spa in which to be pampered.
