Nacula is remote, untouched and absolutely stunning. Life here is simple and the hardest decision will be what time of the day is acceptable to have a cocktail on the beach? One of the most popular ways to fill your time is to trek across the island on an exploratory journey. It is often possible to see some locals in the small villages that dot the landscape and village visits can be arranged via the Nabua Lodge.
Nacula is the most northerly island in the Yasawa chain and as such gives wonderful, unobstructed views onto the open ocean which can be incredibly romantic. It is also possible to visit the other islands as part of a tour that is well worth the expense. Many resorts offer BBQ at night time as well as some traditional entertainment so you won’t be short of things to do in the evenings.
Most people come here for the snorkelling and swimming as the waters are remarkably clear and, as there are some reefs around a number of the islands in the vicinity, there is plenty to see. One of the best things about Nacula and the rest of the Yasawa Islands is that they don’t receive that many visitors so you can still enjoy an incredibly peaceful feeling of remoteness. Get here before the secret gets out!
