Robinson Crusoe Island

Robinson Crusoe Island in Fiji is a lovely small island located in an estuary which, although not guaranteeing crystal clear waters for snorkelling, allows you to cool down in style. The main draw of this island is that it is predominantly for travellers seeking to experience island life on a budget; the accommodation, food and drink are all pretty cheap, thereby allowing you to enjoy yourself in an unkempt tropical paradise for a lot less than the usual.

Entertainment abounds on this island and the free facilities on offer include: kayak rental, snorkelling equipment, a 15-minute massage and a nightclub amongst educational activities. This is an island on which to lose yourself for a few days amongst like minded people.

Diving and water based activities are in abundance and although the diving may not be world-class due to potential low-visibility, it is still possible to see some marine life in a stunning part of the world. Although there are more beautiful Pacific islands, the rustic nature here will give you a genuine Robinson Crusoe experience which you will not forget. If you are interested in golf there is a World-class golf course (home to the Fiji Open) located a short boat ride away where the prices for a round border on affordable. Accommodation is basic and of the hut variety but most people coming to a place such as this will be seeking nothing other than sitting in a hammock, sipping a cold beer and listening to the waves splashing against rocks.

Robinson Crusoe Island can be reach by a short boat ride from Nadi.
