Kiribati

Kiribati is a group of islands in Micronesia, and although the country is characterised by lovely scenery and amazingly beautiful beaches, this place is by no means as populated as other well known holiday islands. For true peace and quiet there may be few places as relaxing and remote as Kiribati. The islands have a few historic sites related to fighting in World War II, but the most appealing parts of the island are due to the sheer beauty that visitors come across in the natural surroundings. The local drink of choice is toddy made from the sap of a coconut tree, and visitors should try it before moving on with their travels.
