Auckland

With its spectacular skyline and location on the water, Auckland is understandably a favorite city in New Zealand. It is often referred to as the city of sails, because it is a sailing paradise with incomparable islands to escape to. How about hopping on the ferry to Waiheke Island for a beach day paired with a visit to some wineries? Or snorkel on Goat Island? Ferry it over to Devonport, a historic village of boutiques, restaurants, and a lovely seaside promenade to take a walk on. Then take in the sights of Auckland itself. Take a ride up the Sky Tower for breathtaking views. Or join the grazing sheep for a stroll in peaceful Cornwall Park!
