Necker Island

Owned by the billionaire businessman Richard Branson and purchased when he was only 28, Necker Island is a luxury retreat that has housed many a celebrity and which you can visit, if you can afford it. Whether you choose to stay in the Great House or the Bali villas, you will be living in complete luxury and comfort on one of the most beautiful of the British Virgin Islands. Although home to Branson and his family infrequently, it is possible to stay in his master home at a cost of $30,000 per week. The property offers remarkable views over the whole island and into the surrounding bays below. There is also a spa and sports centre if you are feeling particularly active but the real pleasure comes from relaxing on the beautiful beaches and taking part in the wonderful wealth of activities on offer in the water. Sailing lessons, surfing, fishing, diving and snorkelling are just the tip of the (tropical) iceberg and all are easily arranged via the delightful staff in residence.
