Located in central Cuba, Santa Clara has a population of nearly 250,000 residents. The city does not enjoy as much tourism as the many coastal resort cities, however those interested in the Cuban revolution flock here as the city played host to the important battle of Santa Clara. The city is rich with architectural gems from the colonial area that stand in pristine condition. What the city may lack in sandy beaches, it more than makes up for with rich history, strong culture and architectural offerings that are too good for many travelers to pass up.
