Willemstad

With a population of around 140,000 people, Willemstad is the capital city of the island nation of Curacao. The city center is well preserved from its early glory days over 400 years ago and the historical district has been names a UNESCO world heritage site.  The main tourism draw here is without question the many beaches that Curacao is famous for, however the city of Willemstad can lure you in with its historic charm. The city makes for a great day of exploration when out island hopping in the Caribbean.
