Montserrat

Montserrat is a small island in the Caribbean, south of Puerto Rico. The island was once a popular holiday destination, but over the past few decades nature has conspired against Montserrat through hurricanes, volcanoes and the island is not as popular as it once was, with much of the southern part of the island left uninhabitable. The weather is wonderfully warm all year round, and the island is a place of great natural beauty. It is a fantastic experience to hike in the interior, while scuba diving is also a very popular past time on the coast. The Soufriere Hills volcano is in the south, and certainly worth a visit.
