It may take a while, and numerous flights, to get here but once you debark from the plane and see the natural beauty of Nevis you will realise that it was all worth it. With a striking central peak and sumptuous beaches, this is the perfect Caribbean island. Charlestown is the gorgeous, romantic capital where lovely Georgian houses line the streets and the wonderful, simple lifestyle seduces and charms you, it is as though you have truly stepped back in time.

The townsfolk are remarkably polite and fairly conservative so it is best not to expect a party when here but if you are seeking a relaxing, cultural experience then you can’t do better than on the ‘Queen of the Caribbes”. The lush landscape and beautiful Nevis Peak are hugely popular with those that like to ramble as it is easy to feel as though you are in the middle of your own tropical wilderness after a few minutes walk. Tours can be arranged from Charlestown and the Peak is striking place to visit with remarkable views. There are many options for where to stay but the most romantic option are the bungalows in Hurricane Grove which offer unbelievable views of the sea.
