Nygard Cay

This is Nygard Cay, a resort for the rich and famous owned by Canadian millionaire Peter Nygard. It has been transformed into a party haven for the super-rich where you and your visitors are catered for by over 20 members of staff. The design for the complex is ancient Mayan but you won’t find anything dusty here. The facilities are state-of-the-art and everything you would expect on an island that costs around $50,000 per day.

When the island can accommodate at least 20 visitors and has its own private fishing vessel then the chances are you will not be struggling for activities. If you are lucky enough to visit here when the owner throws one of his famous ‘pampering’ parties, then you may be mingling with stars such as Robert de Niro and Sean Connery. The accommodation is wonderful with individual villas, each with whirlpools and designed in an ancient Mayan style. There are also numerous sports facilities including tennis and basketball courts.
