Sampson Cay

A private island in the Bahamas with an exclusive resort where people really come to get away from it all, with only two phones on the island and limited internet it is easy to adjust to ‘Bahamas Time’. The facilities on the island are of a very high standard so you will not be lacking in anything but most come here for the beautiful white sand beaches and the remarkably calm waters surrounding the island. There are only five villas on the island that can each house a different number of visitors so it is best to book well in advance. If you do manage to get a reservation then you will be in for a great time as the hospitality here is first-class.

Most people come here to sail in the peaceful, azure waters where they can also dive and snorkel amongst a wealth of sea life but it is also possible to find a dream deserted beach and live the Robinson Crusoe lifestyle for an hour or two. A number of visitors take the time out to visit the nearby Thunderball Grotto which was used in the James Bond film of the same name.
