Guatemala

Guatemala is a mixed hub of cultural riches, thanks to their Spanish and Maya ancestry. The country is situated in Central America and is easily accessible via plane or boat, as well as by car from Mexico. The Maya ruins are a very interesting set of sites throughout Guatemala, showing evidence of the civilization that existed in the area many generations ago. The country is home to many volcanoes, and those looking to experience this incredible phenomenon would be wise to visit Guatemala, where one will find the Volcán de Pacaya. At 2500m this volcano can be climbed all the way to the crater, and most of the time real lava is visible.
