Tegucigalpa

Located inland in central Honduras, Tegucigalpa is home to over 1.3 million residents. The city is currently seeing a facelift that is modernizing the skyline and moving it into the 21^st century. While this modernization is taking place however, the city is still keen on preserving its many historical buildings and districts which give the city its unique old world charm. Tourism isn’t as prevalent here as many other Caribbean cities, likely due to its far inland location. Still for those looking for a big city with that small town, old world charm, Tegucigalpa is a great destination for those in and around Honduras.
