If you’re an adventure junkie then Bosnia and Herzegovina is your paradise. Kayak the rivers or try rafting the Una River through the gorges near Bihac. Hike up the mountains or ski down them. Take the train from Mostar to Sarajevo, a meandering, climbing journey through mountain tunnels. The capital city itself is an edgy mix of cobbled lanes, ancient buildings and trendy cafés. For a different kind of buzz try some of the coffee in the old Turkish quarter.
