Sibenik

One of the jewels of the Adriatic, Sibenik is a wonderful city filled with remarkable architecture, the centrepiece being the UNESCO protected St James Cathedral. A remarkable centuries old building with the sculptured heads of local people created during its construction. There are numerous hotels to stay in so you won’t be starved for choice, it is best to find one in the old town for a remarkably romantic experience.

If you fancy getting out of the city there are many wonderful beaches to explore and relax on. Brodarica is one of the most beautiful and has all of the amenities that you would need to make your day on the beach as fun as possible. The Krka National Park is an oasis of waterfalls, stunning vistas and historical ruins and is a must do if you enjoy trekking through the wilderness. If you prefer your fun to be water based then you would enjoy a trip to Kornati National Park which is a remarkable archipelago of over 100 tiny islands in close proximity. If you visit with a Croatian tour guide they will be able to explain the interesting names of some of the islands.
