Denmark

This small Scandinavian country somehow manages to fit a lot in. Even the capital city of Copenhagen is full of things to see and do. Wander along canals, admire Danish design and eat at one of the fine restaurants this exciting city has to offer. Outside the capital there is plenty to explore. Experience the wilderness of Denmark’s north at Skagen or set off from Silkeborg for great days cycling or hiking. Roskilde may hold the secrets of the Vikings and the history of the Danish monarchy, but it also comes alive with crowds of music lovers for the annual music festival. Denmark is an easy, friendly and thoroughly cool place to visit.

A large peninsula and many islands make up the country of Denmark. So you have a country with a lot of coastline, palaces, castles, and museums galore! The Little Mermaid will welcome you to Copenhagen, Denmark. There you can visit the fantastical Tivoli Gardens, the Carlsberg Brewery Visitor Center, and the car-free zone of Stroget for shopping. In northern Denmark, Skagen is where you find beaches and a wonderful town to stroll in with little yellow houses with red roofs. There are lovely shops and restaurants in the pedestrian-only area. You can also visit the well preserved Kronborg Castle in Helsingor, something you and your whole family will enjoy!
