Faroe Islands

If you are planning on visiting the Faroe Islands make sure to pack your hiking shoes. With the greenest of green mountain slopes, breathtaking views and 18 islands to explore, you are going to need them. The capital Tórshavn, on the biggest of the islands, Streymoy, is a pretty harbour town with colourful buildings and old-world charm. The Vestmanna Bird Cliffs may be just a two hour boat ride away but they are a word apart with hundreds of birds diving and soaring along them. Scoot on down to the Southern Islands for less tourists, friendly locals and more time to just take it all in.
