Bergerac

Located in the heart of the Dordogne Bergerac is a typical market town for the Perigord region. This is an area planted with walnut trees, where there is rich farmland and beautiful deep cut valleys. Bergerac has a lovely old town and is also known for its Tobacco Museum. Nearby the Vezere Valley is a major attraction with its caves of prehistoric paintings and charming old towns like Sarlat are a joy to explore, perhaps looking for local food to try. For the timeless charm of the Dordogne a holiday in this region is perfect to experience the real France.
