Clermont Ferrand

Clermont Ferrand is located at the northern tip of the Massif Central and its position surrounded by the grassy dormant volcanoes of the Monts Domes is simply magnificent. An industrial city it is also a spa location and many people approach it from the Aubusson Road which is the most scenic. Its beautiful cathedral dominates the city and with elegant shops and good restaurants this town makes an excellent base for exploring more of the Massif Central area of France. With the Puy de Dome not far from the city there are several opportunities to see some of the best of France from Clermont Ferrand.
