The citadel of Dinan has managed to preserve hundreds of years of historic architecture in its old town, making it a delight to wander around and explore the narrow streets. It is best seen by boat from the River Rance where the best views of the old citadel can be had. Despite its beauty Dinan remains relatively unspoilt and time is best spend tasting the delicious crepes and local cider in one of many pavement cafes. The historic St Saveur Church is the focus of the town and like others in France there is an excellent market with local produce.
