Lille

Located in Northern France Lille is a prominent industrial town. The old part of the city is charming to visit and includes the Grande Place in the centre and the Place de l’Opera. One of the best times to visit Lille is during the first week in September when the Braderie or grand flea market and fair takes place and the streets are full of stalls and people selling anything and everything. Lille has some great restaurants which reflect traditional local cuisine and also the large number of immigrants in town.
