Lyon

The second largest city in France, Lyon is a large industrial centre and is also renowned for its cuisine. The city has more restaurants per Gothic and Renaissance square metre in the old town than anywhere else in the world and so visitors should partake of the gastronomic delights. With a vibrant nightlife, good entertainment including the famous puppets of Lyon, and some good theatres Lyon has a lot to offer. There are museums celebrating the decorative arts and textiles which are very interesting to visit and The Resistance and Deportation Museum gives an insight into Word War Two in this city.
