Narbonne

Narbonne was once the capital of Rome’s first colony in Gaul and a thriving medieval port. Today the surviving legacy of Rome is the Horreum, a preserved site of two streets and some tiny shops. The cathedral is another focal point in town as it’s the place de L’Hotel de Ville. This is an interesting town to explore and is also within driving distance of the Languedoc shoreline with windswept beaches. The area is renowned for its fine local produce and good restaurants and visitors will enjoy the scenery of the Languedoc region of France.
