Nice

Nice is the capital of the French Riviera and home to the famous Promenade des Anglais in the sea front. There are opulent hotels here and expensive looking yachts, but also older more traditional parts of town. The famous beaches still attract a crowd and there are many excellent restaurants selling fresh seafood and other local specialties. Local museums celebrate the art in the town and as in any chic resort there are some great designer stores. Nice is an excellent base for exploring more of the famous French Riviera and the towns and villages along the coast.
