Reunion

Located 120 miles south of Mauritius, Reunion is a French Commune that is generally favoured by celebrities and the wealthy. With a population that has almost doubled to just over 800,000 over the last fifty years, there may not be as much space as there used to be, but it is still more than possible to have a glorious holiday on this remote volcanic island.

Serviced by two airports, the island is suitable for both beach-huggers and adrenaline junkies alike with a variety of first-class hotels and bars where you can watch people participating in scuba diving or surfing. For those on a budget, it is also possible to stay at some of the Gites and learn about life on Reunion by dining with the people living and working on the island.
The island is famous for water sports such as diving and snorkelling and due to its remarkable location, Reunion is home to some incredibly tasty seafood that you can watch being caught not far from the shores and beaches. It goes without saying that the restaurants on the island are of the highest order, independent of how much you are spending.
