Augsburg

Located in Southern Bavaria, Augsburg is one of the prettiest and most historically significant cities in Germany. Step back in time with a walk down the narrow streets to get a feel for how Renaissance Augsburg must have been. Medieval Augsburg was a fortified walled city and with its cathedral and the Basilica of St Ulrich and St Afra looked magnificent to medieval travellers as it does to modern day visitors. This is a city famed for gold and silver craftsmanship and for beautiful guild houses. It is an artistic centre and renowned the world over for its Puppet Museum.
