Freiburg

Freiburg has a Mediterranean feel to it and is known as the sunniest place in Germany. The town has one of the prettiest old quarters in Germany with historic and charming buildings and is renowned for its welcoming character. Munsterplatz Square is the largest in Freiburg and holds a market each day except Sundays. Another square in Freiburg, the Augustiner, has beautiful steps to one side. Freiburg has several festivals each year including music, jazz and even a circus festival and Christmas Market. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with lakes, hills and even a wildlife park for visitors to enjoy.
