Hameln

Famous for the Pied Piper fairytale Hameln is a picture book town with timbered houses, narrow streets and a real old world charm and an air of magic. Located in the midst of the Harz Mountains this could be a scene from any famous fairy tale. The Munsterkirche dominates the town and there are charming shops and restaurants to explore. Hameln makes a great base for exploring the Harz Mountains and perhaps the Brocken which is the highest point and reputed to be the hiding place of witches. The town of Hameln and the surrounding area is a real delight for all the family.
