Schwerin

Schwerin in Northern Germany lies in an idyllic location surrounded by seven lakes. It is dominated by the magnificent Schwerin Castle and has many names including Florence of the North and the City of Seven Lakes. Somehow Schwerin combines nature and architecture and a walk around town through the cobbled market square and to the medieval cathedral are a real delight. There are many festivals throughout the year in Schwerin including the famous Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival and a superb Christmas market. Many people come back each year to a town where there is always something happening and the changing seasons add their beauty to Schwerin.
