Wuppertal

The largest city in the Bergisches Land Wuppertal is best known for its suspended monorail. Wuppertal formed from five historic towns and is best known for its dance company, the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch and the Van der Heydt Museum. There are many bars and restaurants around Wuppertal and a thriving arts scene with a number of excellent concerts. Over half the city is devoted to green areas with parks, walking trails and some lovely gardens. With a sculpture park and some interesting architectural designs around town featuring many different styles Wuppertal is worth a visit.
